Malaga is the capital city of the Costa del Sol. Its international airport provides the gateway to all of the other towns in Andalusia. The airport of Malaga is considered to be one of the largest in the Spanish territory and can typically welcome up to 10 million visitors. The city is also a major port and industrial center for the south of Spain. With its approximately 550 000 habitants, its the second largest city of Andalusia and lies about 370 km to the south of Alicante along the Costa del Sol.
Malaga has a lovely Harbor and plenty of  places to visit, which you’ll have plenty of time for, while you’re studying or working in this magnificent place.
SHOPPING
If, when you’re studying, you feel like going shopping in Malaga, check out the main shopping street at Calle Marques de Larios. The street is filled with expensive boutiques and shops and can be found north of the famous “Plaza de la Constitucion”. The alleys and little squares on both sides are definitely worth checking out.
Bus number 11 goes from El Palo to downtown Malaga. And the number 34 goes from Pedregalejo.
Parks
El Parque
Malaga's city park which runs alongside the "Paseo del Parque", was created during the end of the 19th century using land, which was reclaimed from the sea. Beautiful tropical flowering trees and shrubs can be found in this park, as well as lots of unusual species.
Jardin Botanic-Historic "La Concepcion"
"Finca de la Concepcion" is another beautiful botanical garden, which can be found, just outside the city. Regular guided tours of the gardens take place, which pass through exotic trees and plants, Roman sculptures and even a waterfall.
